What is CELTA?
The official name of CELTA is "Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages", which originally became CELTA from the abbreviation of "The Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults". CELTA is widely taken around the world. This qualification is intended for native English speakers or those with equivalent English proficiency. It is internationally known and is used as a condition for being hired as an English teacher worldwide. CELTA courses are available at Cambridge-certified Teaching Qualifications Centers, and more than 10,000 people complete CELTA courses annually as an entry-level international qualification in the field of English teaching.
